i am so blessed! "new" vintage buttons!!!.

mikey's manager, cathy, graciously gave me these buttons to make more pretty things! they have been in her family for over 50 years! so what will they become (besides being beautiful all by themselves)? rings, earrings, pins, necklaces, broaches, headbands, greeting cards...we shall see!

my love of vintage buttons runs deep. so imagine how i felt when i found these edible ones! i have many of these button shapes right here in my tin! so cool, check 'em out.

new poster design for Taylor John, one of my very musically talented friends. i hope there will be many more!

we went to Ikea yesterday, (oh Ikea, how i hate to love you) and you know what that means...new studio! we are moving all of my office stuff into the back spare/sun/chill/smoke/whatever you wanna call it room, and making it my mini studio! i am so excited about this. i'll be sure to post pics as soon as it is done (hopefully this weekend). so now our office will be our music/spare room.

quick funny story. on our way to plywood heaven, we grabbed an unmentionable quick bite. we splurged and got a root beer (cause pop is bad). if you have been in our car, you know we don't have cup holders, and well you can probably guess the rest. good thing i wore galoshes, because as soon as Mikey hit the breaks (harder than he should in my defense), the full cup of sweet deliciousness went diving towards my feet. with my seatbelt fastened, i was merely inches from grabbing it before it made a dirty, dark brown, squirrel sized pool at my feet. but all in all, i was kinda glad to have saved the calories.

i know, i know, it’s been way too long to even talk about, but i am back! and i thought it wouldn't be right if i didn’t post the after of this adorable lil guy, so here it is.

kitty clock

what you need: 1. framed picture (no glass!!!) 2. a clock kit (i’ve found them for as low as $6, or you can break an ugly clock like i did) 3. plate holder (mine's plastic) 4. power drill (depending on what your clock kit comes with and how thick your frame is)-

what to do: just drill a small hole through the frame and picture, assemble clock parts, place on stand, and voilà!
